happy anniversary mom and dad!

5.27.2020

Heyyy paper peeps! Hope you all are doing well in these crazy times! I so miss walking through antique stores and flea markets, treasure hunting is the best! One day when I was strolling through an antique store I found this adorable vintage Hallmark photo album that says Showers of Happiness on the front. It was only $2.00 booyahhh! So of course being the hoarder that I am I grabbed it, and I'm so glad I did! It became my parents wedding album! They've been married 46 years wowza!

All I did to jazz up the cover was add a chipboard word and striped marquee love washi tape by Heidi Swapp!

I used a mixture of products, it was so fun!

Look at how cute this cake is!

I am so thankful for photographs! Looking at them is like going back in time and being with these loved ones all over again.

What is your favorite treasure that you've ever scored at an antique store?

Thanks for stopping by and have a happy scrappy day!

national scrapbooking day

5.05.2020

Hey paper peeps! This past Saturday 5/2/20 was National Scrapbooking Day yayy! Can you believe that I've been scrapping for 20 years now?! How did you celebrate, did you make something pretty?! I created something using this darling new digital kit by Make A Pretty Life, not only was it super cute but they were donating some of the proceeds to charity!

The kit is about the crazy corona virus and all of the weirdness going on lately like the toilet paper shortage, staying home, home school, etc. Since staying home is my favorite thing lol, I created a house shaped accordion mini album! I started off by making a flag pole using a wooden stick and a cut out piece from the ephemera page. I mean a house needs a flag pole right ;) The cute paper I used on the cover is actually a Simple Stories paper from their vintage garden collection!

Before I adhered the page down that I wanted to use for journaling, I ran it through my cute pink typewriter by WRMK!

The house accordion is a cut file in the Silhouette Design Store, I think I cut it twice and taped them together..

There's a cute rainbow printed page in the kit, so I fussy cut some of those and turned them upside down to make shingles for my roof lol! They look so whimsical and fun I love them!

Here's a look at my few other pages, the mask is held on by a star brad so you can slide it down to see my son's cute smile! I love interactive pieces! Social distancing is my jam man! It's so weird to see those things on the floor at the grocery store ohmygosh...

I had so much fun making this little book! I love that it showcases just a little touch of our lives right now, I love to remember the little details!

I printed out the kit by uploading it to Office Depot, then I just went and picked it up in the store super easy peasy!

Of course I had to add leaves to my house, these die cut ones were just chillin on my desk so I threw them on there.  I'm obsessed with flowers and leaves heh heh..

Thanks so much for stopping by, stay happy and scrappy!

Emerson Lane

10.22.2018

Hey there paper peeps! Have you seen the new Heidi Swapp scrapbooking goodies, Emerson Lane? It's so pretty, I couldn't wait to play with it! My favorite part is the floral lace paper (heart eyes heart eyes heart eyes)!!! Usually I cut it up into little pieces, but this time I wanted to keep it whole, it really packs a pretty punch!

I laid it over a piece of this really soft and pretty pink watercolor paper, I love how it makes the flowers stand out more!

I can't wait to play with the rest of the collection! Are you being creative today?

Thanks so much for stopping by!

to the moon and back

8.13.2018

Hey there paper peeps! So tell me... are you a paper hoarder? Ohmygosh I have so much paper and I don't know whyyyyy?!?!  I just love it, it's my weakness.. I realized yesterday as I was "shopping" thru my stash.. I found this super cute moon paper by Studio Calico and was like, how have I never used this?! So. Darn. Cute.

So I used it can you believe it?! This layout is so simple it seriously took me like 8 minutes, but I love it! I did just realize though, that the lighting on the right side of the layout is darker than the left, but that is ok. I'm learning to just, let it gooo.

Do you ever create things to just gush over your loved ones and tell them how much you love them? I do, I feel like I need to.. just in case.. plus when you see their faces light up it makes it all worth while ;)

Have a lovely day babes! Now go shop your stash!

she was herself layout

7.17.2018

Hey babes! So last year I took the fam to this beautiful resort by the lake, it was one of the most amazing few days ever! We walked out of our room and BOOM there was the lake. It was awesome! Anyhoo this is my cutie mom, lookin all mermaid-esque ;)

Can't really ask for a more beautiful background for a photo than those stunning blue hues hah?

This gorgeous floral paper is in the open stock racks at Hobby Lobby, isn't it so pretty and summery? The other goodies are by Pinkfresh Studio..

I absolutely adore curly waves, so I pretty much squealed when I found some for my Silhouette Cameo eek!  I thought it'd be fun to mix my journaling in them.. somethin different.

How's your summer, have you gone anywhere coolio for vacay?

Have a beautiful day!
