be happy

4.26.2021

Hey paper peeps! Just hoppin on to share a simple little layout I whipped out the other day! Do you ever see a piece of patterned paper that you just have to do something with?! That's how I felt about this cute paper by Heidi Swapp in her new Carefree Collection! I just love it! Cactus' are just the happiest things! Plus now that half of my family lives in the wild west, I get to utilize all the cute things with these happy guys! I swear when you're driving past them it looks like they're all out there waving at you lol!

I love this "be happy" stamp by Close To Your Heart! My sweet friend Erica sells it in her CTMH shop! I used the fab "Evergreen" ink pad with it, green is a top fave color of mine other than light pink (lots of heart eyes)!!

I think hanging things off of tags is so cute on projects! This LOVE circle charm is also from Heidi's Carefree collection, I dabbed some pink paint on there to make it feel artsy fartsy :)

My mom and I have this ongoing joke that we're always sitting or standing the same way, we just look over at each other and laugh and say STOP IT!!

As you can see my typewriter hates me and likes to do crazy things sometimes when I'm journaling, but I don't care I love it! I use it on almost everything! I have to remember to put my handwriting on things  too though because that's important :) I cherish all of my cards and envelopes that relatives & family members sent me when I was little, simply because it has their handwriting on them. Makes me feel like I'm holding a piece of them with me.

This cute chipboard piece that says love love love is by Freckled Fawn! They have lots of cute embellishments to play with!

I'm so proud of myself for making a 12x12 layout! That hasn't happened in awhile yikes! What is your favorite size layout to make?

Thank you so much for stopping by!

xoxo Sarah

national scrapbooking day

5.05.2020

Hey paper peeps! This past Saturday 5/2/20 was National Scrapbooking Day yayy! Can you believe that I've been scrapping for 20 years now?! How did you celebrate, did you make something pretty?! I created something using this darling new digital kit by Make A Pretty Life, not only was it super cute but they were donating some of the proceeds to charity!

The kit is about the crazy corona virus and all of the weirdness going on lately like the toilet paper shortage, staying home, home school, etc. Since staying home is my favorite thing lol, I created a house shaped accordion mini album! I started off by making a flag pole using a wooden stick and a cut out piece from the ephemera page. I mean a house needs a flag pole right ;) The cute paper I used on the cover is actually a Simple Stories paper from their vintage garden collection!

Before I adhered the page down that I wanted to use for journaling, I ran it through my cute pink typewriter by WRMK!

The house accordion is a cut file in the Silhouette Design Store, I think I cut it twice and taped them together..

There's a cute rainbow printed page in the kit, so I fussy cut some of those and turned them upside down to make shingles for my roof lol! They look so whimsical and fun I love them!

Here's a look at my few other pages, the mask is held on by a star brad so you can slide it down to see my son's cute smile! I love interactive pieces! Social distancing is my jam man! It's so weird to see those things on the floor at the grocery store ohmygosh...

I had so much fun making this little book! I love that it showcases just a little touch of our lives right now, I love to remember the little details!

I printed out the kit by uploading it to Office Depot, then I just went and picked it up in the store super easy peasy!

Of course I had to add leaves to my house, these die cut ones were just chillin on my desk so I threw them on there.  I'm obsessed with flowers and leaves heh heh..

Thanks so much for stopping by, stay happy and scrappy!

Hey babes! So last year I took the fam to this beautiful resort by the lake, it was one of the most amazing few days ever! We walked out of our room and BOOM there was the lake. It was awesome! Anyhoo this is my cutie mom, lookin all mermaid-esque ;)

Can't really ask for a more beautiful background for a photo than those stunning blue hues hah?

This gorgeous floral paper is in the open stock racks at Hobby Lobby, isn't it so pretty and summery? The other goodies are by Pinkfresh Studio..

I absolutely adore curly waves, so I pretty much squealed when I found some for my Silhouette Cameo eek!  I thought it'd be fun to mix my journaling in them.. somethin different.

How's your summer, have you gone anywhere coolio for vacay?

Have a beautiful day!

heidi swapp memory planner- january

1.24.2018

Hey there paper peeps! Last year I took a break from doing a memory planner for the first few months, sometimes we just need a little breaky from things when our brain feels fried right? Welp I'm diving back in this year and already have January almost done woohoo! I vowed to myself this year to keep up!
I don't have much going on this month so I just filled in with lots of pretty stuff ;) I call that "pretty planning.."
(I'm using the Heidi Swapp Time Flies planner in case you were wondering!)

Heidi Swapp just released her new planner line "Fresh Start" and I just love the lemons and the colors, so happy! I'm not a big yellow girl but lemons are pretty stinking cute! I mixed in a few other goodies from my stash like Project Life cards, a Studio Calico card, a Cocoa Daisy card, stickers, I fussy cut some lemons from patterned paper, things like that. I fussy cut a little Project Life logo and tucked it in there so I could remember when I made the team yay!

The cutest photo I have ever captured of my parents HAD to be put in there lol! I may have gone a little sticker crazy but they're sooo fun I can't help myself eek! Plus Heidi's new washi tape, soo cute!

Don't forget to document our other family members, even the little furry ones. They always hold such a special place in our hearts can't leave them out.

This pink banner is fussy cut from a Dear Lizzy Project Life card ;)

Have you seen these darling little suede bows from Amy Tangerine?! Sooo cute stuck on a paper clip! I adore them.

So there's my January babes! See you don't need a ton of appointments and important things to have a planner, just some pretty stuff ;)

Have a lovely day!

national handwriting day

1.23.2018

Hey there paper peeps! Happy National Handwriting Day woohoo! Even if you hate your handwriting, I'm giving you permission to just let it go, it's a part of you! Plus I guarantee that you're the only one stressing about what your writing looks like! I cherish each and every handwritten item from my grandmas and my mom and my boys ohmygosh I just love it all! It's like having them right here with you!
So here's your assignment for today; grab a writing utensil (even if the closest thing handy is a crayon haha been there done that) and jot down a few sweet sentiments and drop them in the mail! You'll make someones day, I promise ;)
Have a lovely day!
xoxo Sarah
