striped label stamp

9.29.2021

Hey paper peeps! Over in my little Etsy Shop there I have some darling stamps that are perfect for journaling, and one of them is this cute striped label stamp!

I just love all the possibilities with this thing! Wouldn't it be cute stamped in red for a Santa shipping tag?! EEK!!

Here's how I used it in my September travelers notebook mini album:

I stamped the label part in one color and the words in a different color, so fun!

A good tip if you want to type on it, stamp it onto a larger piece of cardstock, then run it through your typewriter BEFORE you cut it out! Then it goes through super nicely!

Did you notice the cute little stamped leaves? Those are the ones in the September Story Stamp subscription! If you'd like to subscribe and get a pretty little pink package in the mail each month, hit the button in the sidebar!

Have you been documenting your fall so far? I'm trying to keep up as much as I can, it's such a beautiful good smelling yummy season I don't want to forget anything!

Thank you so much for stopping in! Have a happy scrappy day!

xoxo Sarah

stamping rituals

7.30.2021

Hey paper peeps Happy Friyay woot woot! Do you have rituals or routines you do with certain scrapbook supplies? I do sometimes, like with my stamps!

The first thing I do when I go to use a fresh hot off the press brand spankin new "Happy Little Stamp" is wash it! I just give it a good rinse and dry it off, this helps to get all of the residue from the factory production off of the stamp! (I also heard sometimes people use very fine sand paper to do this but that kinda scares me lol!)

Secondly, since I want to get a clean crisp stamped image, I like to "break it in" by stamping it a few times onto a scratch piece of paper! This helps me so much, for some reason I get nervous right before I stamp like I'm going to wreck something lol! I'm a dork like that.

Thirdly, I keep a bag of baby wipes by me and I clean off my stamps right away! I use baby wipes for so many things, they are just so convenient! Not sure that's the best way to do it, I'm just cheap and they work great lol! There are also alot of great stamp cleaners out there you can use though if you would rather go that route :)

What are some of your rituals or routines that you do with your papercrafting? I'd love to hear! Any stamping tips that I can't live without?!

Being a bookworm at heart, one of my favorite things to journal on is a good ole fashioned library card! I wanted to have one to use on every project, so I actually just put this super cute library card stamp into my ETSY SHOP! Hop on over and take a look!

Thank you so much for hangin out with me today! Have a happy scrappy weekend!

xoxo Rah

me & you ~ happy little morsels

5.11.2021

Hey paper peeps! Just poppin in to say hi and share a little tag mini album I just whipped out! I call little mini projects "little morsels," they just make me happy!

Do you ever sit down to make something and your brain is like ummmm yeah no...

aarrrggghhh it's so frustrating isn't it?! These are the times when I like to just throw something little and cute together! Tag albums are great for this! Here's what you do;

1. gather cute tags
2. fold them in half
3.tape them together like an accordian
4. embellish and add photos

And that's it! So fun and simple! It's ok to make little happy morsels sometimes, it brings a sense of accomplishment, plus you have something cute to look at on your desk!

I used the May "Happy Little Story Stamp" set on the cover, so cute! If you'd like to subscribe, look over on the sidebar and you'll see a button! There is a button for each subscription or a third button if you want to subscribe to both, easy peasy!

**NOTE: if you are on your phone, you have to scroll down to where you see the HOME button, well right underneath that it says "view web version," click on that and you'll be able to see the sidebar!

Thank you so much for stopping by!

xoxo Rah

d is for debbie

4.30.2021

Hey paper peeps! This is the last sneaky peeky of my brand new happy little stamps before making their big debut tomorrow eeekkk!! I am so super excited! And nervous.. hope you like them!

I have been working on a mini album for my mom, it's made out of a vintage book that I picked up in an antique store! She's a quilter, so when I saw an old beautiful book called "The Patchwork Quilt," you know it accidentally fell into my cart heh heh...

It's about all of our hobbies, scrapbook adventures, expos, crafting parties, hoarding of pretty things, trips to bakeries, all of those good things! Who would've thought that our hobbies would turn into lifestyles, which would in turn result in crazy adventures?!

Can't wait to show more of this book to you! It's getting quite chunky :)

I love putting paint chips in my junky artsy fartsy journals, they are so perfect for journaling and layering! It's a happy bonus when you find one with cute paint names on it!

I added a messy & quick layer of gesso on the base book page and large shipping tag before creating the page, I just love how gesso softens everything and makes it so subtle and pretty!

Do you have special plans for International Scrapbook Day?! I love this day! So much fun going on all over social media, it's so exciting!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Come back tomorrow at 7p.m. to subscribe to some really cute stamps!

xoxo Sarah

halloween past mini album part 1.

10.09.2020

Hey paper peeps! Lately I've been going through pictures and I noticed that I have years and years of Halloween pictures that I haven't scrapped! Lots of fun memories even from when I was little! So I decided to create a mini album of just a mixy mash (monster mash?) of memories in one place!

I'm using an old Little Golden Book as my base, with a mix of collections such as Crate Paper Hey Pumpin and Simple Stories Happy Haunting! This old sparkly book plate is super old, it's by a company called Making Memories! They were so awesome! The Jolly Halloween vintage paper is from an old Halloween party book :)

I was so bummed one day, I was running all over looking for black pom pom trim and I couldn't find any. Then I saw a lady was getting some of this black tassel trim cut at a fabric counter in Hobby Lobby and I was like ohmygosh cut me some too! I can't believe how much it looks like little witch brooms sooo cute!

I love folding my pages so they're all different sizes! Then you can have stuff hangin off and stickin out all over love it!

This is my cute niece and I, I think it was about 1998-ish?  I was so proud of my big smily face pumpkin, it took hours lol!

Much more to come on this fun little album, stay tuned!

xoxo Sarah

sparkle & joy

Hey paper peeps! Today I want to start showing you what I've been making with the new Citrus Twist Kits new Christmas kit for 2020, Sparkle & Joy! I am so excited that I get to be a guest designer for them using this kit, it's just loaded with cuteness!

I really love the fun chipboard flair pieces, so I knew I wanted to do something fun with those rather than just stick them on a page :)

Seriously look at how cute this hot cocoa mug is?! Just love it! I used a glue dot and stuck it to the end of the gold paper clip, then put a circle of paper on the back that lines up good. Also, this Joy to the World music paper was one of my faves in the kit, so I cut it into a tag to use as my cover page. Just punched a hole at the top and put a Heidi Swapp gold glitter sticker enforcer around it, then finished it off with some red bakers twine!

I wanted to do something cute with the candy cane flair, so I punched a little hole in it and slid it onto a gold paper clip! Now I can have a cute dangly hanging off somewhere!

So fun! I just love this kit! Stay tuned for some more ideas using this fab kit! Thanks for stopping by!

xoxo Sarah

storylines and shipshewana

6.05.2020

Hey paper peeps! Have you gotten a chance to play with the new Heidi Swapp Storylines Chapters yet? I just started my first one, and I'm having so much fun! I'm trying to just keep it simple and slap stuff down, which I'm not gonna lie it's kinda hard for my brain to do that... but I'm loving it! And it's turning out so happy & cute!

This particular chapter is about a cute little amish town that my mom has been dragging me to taking me to since I was teeny tiny! We have so many awesome memories here, I have to start getting them down on paper!

This gorgeous floral cutfile is from Just Nick Studio, I just love using sequins to dress up a flower center!

Typing is my go to journaling method right now, but I need to make sure my handwriting is in there too somewhere :)

I used a pretty Storylines circle sticker to be an envelope seal, but it's not stuck down.

Something I like to do with my stickers is to leave the backing on and just use them like a piece of ephemera, then staple it on.

I love flaps and different sized pages, it makes a book so fun to look at! So the first page i folded back in half, creating a pocket. Then I covered it in paper and did the same thing to the second page, leaving it a little wider so you can see all the pretty layers!

Have a happy scrappy weekend loves! Thanks for stopping by!

happy anniversary mom and dad!

5.27.2020

Heyyy paper peeps! Hope you all are doing well in these crazy times! I so miss walking through antique stores and flea markets, treasure hunting is the best! One day when I was strolling through an antique store I found this adorable vintage Hallmark photo album that says Showers of Happiness on the front. It was only $2.00 booyahhh! So of course being the hoarder that I am I grabbed it, and I'm so glad I did! It became my parents wedding album! They've been married 46 years wowza!

All I did to jazz up the cover was add a chipboard word and striped marquee love washi tape by Heidi Swapp!

I used a mixture of products, it was so fun!

Look at how cute this cake is!

I am so thankful for photographs! Looking at them is like going back in time and being with these loved ones all over again.

What is your favorite treasure that you've ever scored at an antique store?

Thanks for stopping by and have a happy scrappy day!
